bio
Understanding the human experience is a key element of my life. From early childhood I gained a love for nature through hiking, camping, canoeing, and travel. In high school, I spent year in Bolivia as a Rotary Exchange student, which expanded my cultural awareness and introduced me to a love for the Spanish language. Guided by this passion, I pursued and earned a Master’s degree in Modern Languages from Kansas State University. For the next two years I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador. This opportunity deepened my perception of our global civilization. The sparks which ignite a passion for language and cultural integration continue to inspire my curiosity through international literature, folklore, and philosophy. In 2011, I completed my Professional Massage Therapy Program. It was here that I found a way to bring these experiences, education and interests together; applying them to healing arts.
bodywork
My bodywork is integrative in nature. I see the body as a whole organism whose systems are meant to function with harmony, whose tissues are meant to glide smoothly, and whose fluids are meant to flow with ease. I allow my senses to understand what your body needs in order to express its natural health. Various modalities and techniques are used to facilitate this potential. Techniques are applied in a way that maintains tranquility, allowing your body to guide the experience toward your health goals.
